I've been interested in Marilyn's work for about 2 years now. The first time I really became a fan of her was when i had drawn a portrait of her for some extra points in commercial arts.  On the photo i had drawn she had an innocent look on her face and that caught my attention. Then i stared looking up information on her and found out that she had a terrible childhood and that she had alot of pressure on her shoulders and she was very depressed. I see her as more than just a sex-symbol, but as a very important person that i am inspired by. The only thing guys thought of her was "playtime" but she was definatley more than that. She inspired millions of people along the years with her beautiful look and her innocent voice. She actually reminded me of myself when i saw younger. We both had terrible childhoods and we both were depressed and had low self-esteem at certain points in our lives. She made me realize that money doesnt buy happiness and to respect my body the way that it is. And i'm very proud to say that I am a Marilyn Monroe Fan and that I wish I had known her.
